The first tooth that fell!

Hello Everyone,

My first tooth fell today.

And the toothfairy took the tooth and paid me RM5.

Good toothfairy.

Now I shall eat more sweets and hope more teeth fall out before Deepavali. Then I shall be RICH!

Bagyashri's First Competition!

Dearest Bagyashri,

It's a contest, and technically, you and I are competitors, so I should not be teaching you what colour to colour where.

Prateeb Cittappa's Wedding

I made a debut in dancing today, dancing for "Pookale" for Prateeb Cittapa's wedding with Amirthinee and Shankari.

Annai, Cinnanai and Jeethendra danced to "Darling Dambakku" for the entrance of Cittapa as the groom.

Edhu Ezhuthu for Bagyashri

Hi everyone,

I wrote on the rice today, which signifies I can start my formal schooling next year.This is done in conjunction with the Vijatashami day at the end of the Navarathiri festival. Writing on the rice for the first time is supposed to ensure success in education and arts.

I traced the words "U"  and "Saraswathi" on the rice before the priest used a small spear to write the word AUM on my tongue.

Bagyashri stays in the hospital- TWICE!

Dear Bagyashri,

You were hospitalised once on the 14-19 March and then again from 1-6 April for pneumonia.

We're not too sure how you got it, but it scared the hell out me and your mother.

We should mention here that both times, your Ammama came down from Temerloh to be with you in the hospital. This was probably also because your mother was in tears whenever she talked to her mother( tsk tsk, shaking my head).

The second admission caught us by surprise, and you were on the nebuliser very often while you were in the hospital.

The doctor said you were so easily affected because you were too thin. I suppose 9kg ( and 84cm)  for an almost 2 year old is quite on the small side. 

I pray that you'll be a stronger girl now, Kutty girl. We'll be feeding you S26 from now on, so please grow fatter.

My first tooth appeared today, at the bottom. No pain. Strong genes. =)

Good, this means I can eat more things ( not my porridge of course!)

Food Feeding

Hi,

Today was my Food Feeding Ceremony. They put a garland for me and everyone fed me some sweet rice, or pukkai as Amma would call it.

It was lovely and finger licking goood!

Unlike Annai and Cinnanai who were crying through their food feeding ceremonies, I DID NOT CRY....

I just smiled and smiled and smiled.

The day Bagyashri turned over

Hi Bagyashri,

What a commotion two weeks ago at home just because you turned around. Makes me wonder if Amma and Appa were just as excited when Thambi and I turned over as well. Wonder what's going to happen when you start dragging yourself on the floor, we might have a party......

Anyway, you're five months old today, and you're 64cm. Also, you are 5.95kg. Hurry up and put on some weight, baby.

You shouldn't be eating your toe, it's dirty. But personally, I think it tasted really good whileI was allowed to eat mine a few years back. ENJOY it while you can; if you tried it at 4 1/2 years old, Amma will bring the rotan.
